CHOREOGRAPHER AND CHORUS MISTRESS
John's wife, June, is a remarkable lady with roots firmly entrenched in professional theatre. As a very talented dancer in her own right she established her position by winning the coveted 'Anna Pavlova Award' at just 16 years of age. From then on, June's training was at the very highest level, at the internationally famous Hammond School. Her dancing took her around the Country and won her much acclaim. Not unnaturally, for such a talented dancer, she was invited on numerous occasions to take on special teaching appointments, as well as working with a host of the top names in show business. June spread her talent to choreography and to the opening of her own dance academy, teaching ballet, tap, jazz and theatre dance. Many of her pupils graduated into the professional theatre. It was whilst choreographing some of the most popular shows in the Country that June came more regularly into contact with John A. Booth as a Director and in his various management roles at different theatres. They were married shortly before John's retirement and came out to Orba to live - only to get involved with Careline Theatre!
